I was painting this view from the rocks at Sennen, with the waves and tide coming in at me.  Just  before I had to move the sun began to drop behind the rocks, and silhouette the waves.  I took a group of rapid photos to catch the scene.  I used the painting done there and the photographs to complete a large and much more ambitious oil painting.
